Training should begin the day you bring your new puppy or dog home. Every year so many pets are euthanized because people do not understand that owning a dog is a serious commitment. My training courses are designed to help people understand animal behavior and how to raise a family pet.
At K-9 Services Unlimited/Piazza's Professional Dog Training School, we teach new dog owners that what happens in the home influences and shapes the behavior of the pup or dog. By not teaching or setting rules, you are contributing to all the problems that may occur without proper training. Our courses help you understand how to prevent these problems by establishing communication with your family pet.
With puppies, the first 16 weeks are crucial because it is at this time when they form their attitudes and temperaments toward other dogs and people. They learn through experience what they can and cannot get away with. So remember, start training between 8-10 weeks of age and NEVER accept a pup less than 7 1/2 weeks old.

This course is only given to people who can pass criminal background checks. No one with a criminal past will be allowed in this course. If you are looking for a dog that is loveable, friendly yet able to protect your family or yourself, this course is for you. If you are worried about the safety of your family when you are away, or when you take a walk, we can teach a dog who passes the temperament test to protect you. Call for details.

Canine Behavior
|
|
Have you ever wanted to learn why a dog acts the way it does? Have you been to other trainers and were not satisfied just learning the obedience commands? This course teaches about canine behavior. Once you complete this course you will have the confidence to read any dog and its intentions

K-9 Hiking
|
|
If your interested in hiking with your dog, we have over 25 acres of land with 130 acres of wooded land to hike. You must be in good physical condition for this class.

Dog Swimming
|
|
This class is by the hour. The dog must know advanced obedience for this course. If you would like to use our dog pond, there is a charge of $25 per hour
|
Agility
|
|
If you would like your dog to learn agility, it must know at least basic obedience. This course includes, Trestle, dog walk, window jump, tunnel, high jump, teeter totter (see saw) etc.

Dog handling for children
|
|
This course is for children under the age of 13. It includes house breaking, how to properly socialize their dog, animal behavior, preventing dog bites etc. This is a class on Saturday mornings from 10:30am-12pm. Limit 5 children per class

Canine Boot Camp
|
|
This course is for the hard to train dog that has many behavioral issues. Some problems include people or dog aggressive, fear biters, biting the handler, going after other dogs etc. This course is only for dogs with behavioral issues.

Basic Obedience 5 weeks
|
|
This course will teach you how to walk the dog on a 6ft leash. Sit, sit stay, down, down stay, Come when called.
|
Tracking Classes
|
|
We are again offering Tracking classes. We will limit these classes to only 5 dogs per class. If you want to get some exercise and still have your dog trained, this is a great course. It is a lot of fun, and a great time to bond with your dog. All family members encouraged to train. Free advanced obedience if you take this course.

Home Study Course
|
|
This course was designed to help pet owners who cannot come to training classes or are home bound. I have developed this course so that you can train the dog in your own home. You will learn step by step how to hold the leash, how to break down obedience commands, and show the dog what you want. I also go in depth of animal behavior, drives and instincts. You will learn, voice inflection, when to correct the dog and more. You also get free phone consultations. If interested please email for more information.

Intermediate Obedience- 8 wks
|

Many people want their dog to respond to them on the leash and with some distance between them. In fact, some people do not want the dog trained off the leash because they live in the city or where traffic is high. This course is designed for those people. They can get on leash training and also learn how to control their dog at a 50 foot distance. Kindergarten K-9/ 6 weeks
|

This course was developed for puppies 8 weeks to 6 months of age. In this course, you will learn basic obedience, how to raise a good canine companion, socialization training, chewing, crate training and more. Remember, pups must be trained differently from adults. What you do in the first 16 weeks of a pups life, can have an effect on the pup the rest of its life. Many Vets and other trainers try to con you into waiting until the pup is older, to do formal training. I can say with 100% confidence, that I can have a puppy fully trained on and off leash, by the time it is 6 months of age. Advanced Training 10 wks
|
|
The advanced course consists of the same exercises as the beginner course in addition to hand signals. When the training course is complete, the dog will be trained to respond off the leash. The student will also learn how to read a dogs body language and will take notes on canine behavior, drives, and instincts. Socialization and problem solving is also included in this course. There is no better course than this one. We can say with confidence that no other dog training school can offer what we do in this course. It is a cut above the rest. You do not have to wait to enroll your pup in this course. As long as it is bewteen 8-10 weeks old, you can enroll in this course. Just think. A fully trained pup by the time it is 6 months of age.
